Fantastique French Wine Tasting & Art Exhibit at Whole Foods Venice This Week! #ad

Remember afew months back when I introduced you to Venice Beach? Well, little did I know they have a fabulous Whole Foods Market out there & this Saturday on March 1st from 5-8pm, you’re invited for their amazing wine tasting compliments of Fantastique Wine & an art exhibit featuring the works of Glidas Coudrais! Heres the 411:

“Oh la la! Join us for a fantastique wine tasting featuring samples of spectacular, value-priced French wine paired with petit fours. While you sip enjoy the art of the wine label designer and Germany-based French artist Gildas Coudrais. He brings a unique touch to wine labels and his artwork gets close to the aesthetics of pop culture. His work is reminiscent of billboards on the sunset strip but remains loyal to the European tradition. $10 per person, proceeds benefit the Whole Planet Foundation.”

Afew of the featured wines will be:

Chantebelle Sauvignon Blanc
$9.99/750 ml
A bright and brisk beauty with crisp citrus flavors, its sensational start to the evening, especially with chilled shrimp and goat cheese!

King Rabbit Malbec
$9.99/750ml
Rich, black plums, berries and cherries dance smoothly on the palate; I have had this wine & love its full-bodied, berry notes!

Another great one I recommend is Fantastique Pinot Noir ($9.99/750 ml),  A fantastically bolder Pinot, with flavors of spiced black cherries that would love to meet up with some cedar-plank grilled salmon 😉

And, lets not forget the ART that will be on hand, here’s what Whole Foods told me about Glidas’ work:

“With his gleam and sparkle colors, he gets very close to the aesthetics of pop
culture. His work is reminiscent of large-sized billboards on the Sunset Strip but remains loyal to European tradition. He experiments with a wide-ranged repertoire of history of art, which he combines, literally, with quotations from media, advertising and poetry. Taken out of context the parts lose their original meaning and values and the art becomes a multi-layered piece on its own, mysterious, fantastic and poetic.”

So, if you were wondering what to do this Saturday, now you know! RSVP here & follow the Venice Whole Foods on Twitter, too! xo
