Get Away from it all at The Hofsas House Hotel. #Carmelbythesea #ad

Our recent getaway to Carmel by the Sea was made possible by the invite I received to stay at The Hofsas House Hotel, & I am so excited to introduce you to them!

I will admit, I did wonder, what if this hotel is not all its said to be?! I would not review nor want to say good things if I truly did not enjoy my time somewhere. Why did they invite me?! Why do they want a feature?! Are all things that crossed my mind, but, upon arrival, I knew I was into something good & as I will later tell you, Carmel & its town peeps truly want YOU to know how amazing the city is!

Nestled juts a few blocks from the beach & on a winding, tree-lined road, The Hofsas House Hotel has been a staple in town since 1947, when Owner, Carrie Theis’ Grandma, founded the inn. While most buildings do not exceed over 2 floors, Grandma Hofsas snuck in with 3 floors, all with glorious views of a pretty special area.

When you arrive, you’re greeted by a gorgeous mural of Bavarian dancers & drive down a hill to access parking, if you have a lot of bags & things to gather, you can indeed park right out front of the office. The lobby is small & cozy, with a smiling face ready to check you in. A rarity nowadays I just loved here? A real key, no credit card style! 😉

Our room couldn’t have been more excellent, with a European style front door & delicious wine & cheese waiting for us in our kitchenette, which boasts a sink, fridge, microwave & plates/utensils. Our dresser drawers also had mini compartments, perfect for jewelry & small trinkets.

The view outside our door was the pool below us to the right, & straight ahead, the ocean is at your fingertips beyond majestic, large trees.

Both nights, we enjoyed the fireplace which was ready to use with Duraflame logs & matches at the ready, perfect for how cold it got! In the morning, I went down to see what was for breakfast. Not only was I given a basket for pastries, yogurt & a tray, but a carafe full of warm coffee from the front desk.

When I met Carrie, below, I learned how important this city & its heritage is to her; that, is indeed why she is so welcoming for bloggers & newbies to visit Carmel; there’s so much to the area, & she wants you to know about every single attraction in Carmel. We chatted over coffee while she showed me maps of Big Sur, filled me in on the history of Point Lobos, the 17 mile drive & why there’s no street addresses around!

Another great thing about Hofsas House? When you arrive & park your car, you never have to use it if you like. We did everything we wanted by foot; the beach, restaurants , shops, sights.
I also loved our vast bathroom. While the shower was small, there was plenty of room on the counter for 2 people to get ready. They also give you a hair dryer & ironing board.

Like I have previously reported, they’re also dog friendly! So, make sure to check out their Tail Wagging Package, & you could also have a large group stay at Hofsas, as they’re equipped to gladly host reunions, weddings, you name it, I am sure they would be more than happy to accommodate you!

Why not consider afew days away in this glorious city & perfect country cottage inn. Learn more & book your room now before they start getting full for Summer, by clicking here!

(*Disclosure: A huge thank you to The Hofsas House Hotel for this complimentary stay in exchange for a feature. All opinions are my own & I would gladly stay here again on my own.)
