Halloween Fun in LA & Eek! Giveaway ends 10-17

With Halloween time upon us, I have been having a ball watching horror films with Michael. Anyone who knows me is probably shocked to be reading this. “Mary? WATCHING a horror film?? And saying its FUN?!” While I still refuse to try out The Silence of the Lambs, or anything with Hannibal Lector, I have finally put on my big girl pants & have seen all the Alien movies (LOVE them, especially part 2), The Nightmare on Elm Street (Original & new), The Shining (Such a classic! Shelley Duvall is awesome) & then he surprised me & we watched one of my Halloween faves: Hocus Pocus! 🙂 Hopefully, we’ll be in our new place before 10-31 as we have pumpkin carving to do….& I still need to decide on a costume…can you tell I love Halloween?! Well, LA is loaded with great activities this time of year & I decided to list a few that I am looking forward to. Enjoy!

Symphony In The Glen and Nederlander Concerts will once again host The EEK! At The Greek! extravaganza on Saturday, October 25, for its 4th year in a row, presented by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This family friendly event featuring the 60-piece Symphony In The Glen Orchestra with Maestro Arthur B. Rubinstein will present a creepy collection of frightening favorites. Additionally, the program will showcase the return of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell- tale Heart” with special guest narrator (to be announced).

I attended last year & absolutely loved this event. The orchestra moved me to tears with the medley of songs from Wicked, & The Sorcerer’s Apprentice was absolutely breathtaking.
