LA Cookie Con Giveaway Ends 12-28!

Got any plans for 2015 yet? On January 25th, the place to be will without a doubt be The 1st Annual LA Cookie Con, making its debut at The Pasadena Convention Center! This convention, the largest bakers event on the West Coast, will have not only dozens of cookies & sweets to try & see, but, they also will boast special guests including Ron Ben-Israel of The Food Network’s Sweet Genius, some of your favorites from Masterchef as well as Masterchef Junior; a show which has been my guilty pleasure lately, & a fun bakers contest where guests will be able to enter the “Pro” or “Enthusiast” category and have your best confectionary creation judged by our team of celebrity guests, just like on TV! I think the best part of this convention is that it benefits Children’s Hospital of LA, & 100% of your entry fee for the contest will go to the hospital. Categories are “Novelty Cake”, “Novelty Cake Pops” and two Iced Cookie categories: Junior (ages 12 and under) and Adult (ages 13 and up).

Here are 5 vendors I cannot wait to connect with:

Jen & Joe’s Cookie Dough:   This take ‘n bake dough is making its way across America, & I love why Baker, Jen, chose to include her Husband, Joe’s, name in her baking company: “It rhymed with ‘dough'” 😉

Thirteen Apples:  This, my friends, could be completely worth the entire day for me. Thirteen Apples is a local catering company that provides you with make-you-own-candy-apple-stations, or, if you rather know what you’re going to get, they also sell their treats ready to eat for your soirees.

Sarah’s Skinny Sweets: Gluten Free & Paleo friendly, Sarah’s Sweets can be found throughout California in specialty stores & are a favorite among the Hollywood circle.

Banzai Bacon Jerky:  I don’t eat red meat, but this pick is for my boyfriend, Mike. He loves bacon. He loves jerky. So, I bet he’ll love this treat!

Cybele’s Free to Eat: Cybele’s is, surprisingly, a NEW gluten-free brand to me, luckily they’ll be making the rounds at all the health expos this year, & I cannot wait to get acquainted with them at The Cookie Con.

If a variety of cookies were in front of me, the first I would take is Oatmeal raisin. Then anything with chocolate.

This would be wonderful to take my sister to. She started “catering” decorated sugar cookies last year and can’t even keep up with the demand. Would love to show some of her creations off!!!!
