Museums on a Budget!
It is no secret that I love museums. While I do not mind paying to get into them to support all the beauty that awaits inside for me to look at, sometimes, I DO like to save a buck or two!;) And, when I found out MOCA is currently offering free membership to YouTube subscribers! I thought I would tell you some other ways & days to visit a few more awesome museums, free of charge:)
*LACMA offers free admission every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
*The La Brea Tar Pits lets you explore free of charge every first Tuesday of the month (excluding July & August).
*Craft and Folk Art Museum is a really interesting under-rated museum on The Miracle Mile. They offer you to visit on them every first Wednesday of the month.
*Autry National Center lets you learn about the ridin’ & ropin’ days on the house every second Tuesday of the month!
*California African American Museum is always free of charge, just $10 to park.
*The Norton Simon Museum welcomes all visitors from 6p-9p the first Friday of the month.
*The Long Beach Museum of Art is free for all EVERY Friday!
And, if you happen to find yourself across the country, one of my favorite museums is MoMa, which allows you to look all around on them every Friday from 4p-8p…just don’t stop to speak on the phone to confirm your David Letterman tickets….people may frown on you as they did me!;)

October 11, 2012 at 3:29 pmI too love museums and greatly appreciate this list and times. I have printed it off for future use. I live in Irvine part of the time. That means I could go to some of these museum when I’m there, baring the traffic on the 405… LOL

October 12, 2012 at 3:08 pmI always look forward to those free admission days.. I also love when museums take part in certain weekend days of the year where it’s free admission =) The most recent were the Smithosonian Museum Days weekend where admission was free for everything!
