My Word for 2015….

I’ve been here, literally, for easily almost two hours, desperately trying to find the perfect word to award my own for the new year. Gilmore Girls streaming on Netflix, kitchen breaks for chocolate or wine, frantically searching the Saurus, my dog by my side, that’s the scene in my living room right now. The past two years I’ve done this fun assignment, I have easily known what that word would be. 2015? None has felt just right for what I am wanting to focus on. Just what am I going after? I want to explore my surroundings, discover new adventures, expand the blog, feel good, enjoy my wonderful life and my family, love my boyfriend, Hammy, have fun.

I’m pretty damn lucky; I have it all in my ‘all’ own way, and want to take advantage of that and this one little life I have been given. So, word?? One to combine all of that? Pretty please?

Well, ladies and gents, I have chosen ONWARD to represent my year ahead. Onward to new things. new opportunities, new friends, new adventures,Β new hobbies…you get the idea.

Onward2

“Carry On” was also in the running, as was being ‘persistent’ and ‘content’, but, we’ve already had focuses on those words in the past; I still stand by and love my word I chose last year: Cheers! A salute I have been lucky to say and act upon, more than once, this past 2014.

How has this year been for you? I know for many, it was not such a great year. Another reason for ONWARD to be an anthem; Onward & upward to a new start, beginning. Don’t look back, just keep swimming. Er, moving.

I’ve also been thinking a quite good amount on GOALS and where I want to go, literally, in this new year. Not only am I passionate to keep Along Comes Mary alive and thriving, but, I hope to get you out of my neighborhood much more than last year; I love Los Angeles, but I know I love this world, the bit more I have seen as months have gone by.

2014 definitely shaped up to one of my greatest years yet; with travels throughout California, concerts, friends, love, a new house and plenty of great food, I can only hope 2015 can out do itself. You know how I’ll find out? Moving ONWARD to see whats in store! xo

Interesting idea. Made me think of those societies who associate a year with an animal. That would be another way to do it. Admittedly without giving it a lot of thought I’ll go with “explore.”

Good pick, Ken! Like the animal idea, too πŸ™‚

Good choice. Would personally like to add breakthrough. Which is the best word? Would be like discussing what came first the chicken or the egg:-)

Interesting idea – picking a word for the year. I will likely be mulling that over for the rest of the, looking for my word. Onward is a good choice. All the best in 2015.

There is no denying that “Onward” is full of optimism, courage, stamina, and motivation. Good word to leave behind one year and blaze a trail to the next.

The selection of words for you over last couple of years was great.
I have not selected any word for me yet. I got this new idea from your post. I will think about this and will see what comes to be or defines me.
I am happy for you that you have accomplished many of your goals and its nice to know that you have completed two years of blog.
I hope new year will bring peace, prosperity for all of us.
    Thank you.
