NeoCell Collagen Giveaway ends 4-10!

Last week in El Segundo, I was invited out to Whole Foods to experience a preview of their “Hello Beauty!” week, which found the health foods store chain focusing on their awesome Beauty department. Since I frequent Whole Foods, I thought I knew it all about them. Nope! Little did I know that along with selling organic products only for our skin & body, they also insist on an extensive process to ensure that you can BELIEVE it when they say their items are approved & really organic.

One of the brands I was excited to connect with was NeoCell. NeoCell is the #1 collagen brand in the world. Collagen? Why do we need that? was my initial thought as I usually think cosmetic procedures when I think of collagen. Boy, was I wrong. Collagen is actually the most abundant protein in the human body. It is regarded as the substance that holds the whole body together & can be found in the bones, muscles, skin &  tendons. Collagen is most commonly found in the skin, bones & connective tissue within the body, providing structural support, strength & a degree of elasticity (in combination with elastin).

Collagen helps form a fibrous network, upon which new cells can grow. It is also required in the replacement & restoration of dead skin cells. Some collagen also function as protective coverings for delicate organs in the body such as the kidneys. As collagen production naturally declines with age, skin loses the elasticity it once had, which is what causes sagging skin, fine lines & wrinkles,&  the weakening of cartilage in joints. The body consistently produces collagen until around the age of 40. Collagen then begin to decline after this point, with levels having usually declined greatly by the age of 60. Pretty interesting, right?

NeoCell was founded in 1998 & through a proprietary enzymatic process, all of their collagen products are standardized for maximum absorption. With their vast selection of vitamins, soft chews & drink powders with flavors like ‘Appletini’, I have begun taking their fruit punch soft chews & look forward to checking back in as I am anxious to see if I feel difference, since collagen is so pivotal for your joints & is a great supplement for people like myself, with Lupus.

This is cool. I had no idea about any of this. Thanks for sharing. I always just pictured collagen as the crap people inject into their lips!

This product sounds great, I’d love to try it! Thanks for the chance to win some. My beauty secrets are dry shampoo and a daily shot of apple cider vinegar and/or spirulina (I alternate).

Hmmm, this seems interesting. Had no clue of it. I use shea butter every day. Seems to work wonders…or it could be genetics,… or a a mind thing.
