Great Big Family Play Day has been on my radar since its inaugural weekend 11 years ago. The annual event has been deemed the “Coachella for Kids.” I’ve never been to Coachella, so I’m excited to see how Great Big Family Play Day fares. We also love our Toniebox at home. How perfect is it that the weekend is presented by Tonies?

We can’t wait to attend Great Big Family Play Day next weekend at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles. Since it’s an all-day event, packing what we need will be crucial. These are a few must-haves I’ll have on me as we enjoy the event.

Great Big Family Play Day Essentials

Zoey Naturals Sunscreen

I hadn’t heard of Zoey Naturals until Great Big Family Play Day. I’m so glad to know about them now. Zoey Naturals specializes in bath, body, hair care, and other skincare necessities without harsh or unnecessary ingredients. They even offer laundry detergent.

With two young kiddos, I’m very particular about what sunscreen I’ll put on their skin. Zoey’s is mineral-based and free of parabens, fragrances, and other chemicals. Their sunscreen stick will be perfect for the warm weather predicted during the festival.

That’s It Fruit Crunchables

Another minimal ingredient brand I love. That’s It is an ideal name for the fruit snack company. Their new line of Crunchables is literally just the fruit inside and nothing else. We’ve been munching on the apple and strawberry.

Want to up your festival snacking game? Sprinkle some Crunchables over yogurt or add to a granola or trail mix to keep the kiddos happy.

Tonies for Trading

This is what sealed the deal for us on needing to attend Great Big Family Play Day. Tonies will host trading hours for families to swap their old Tonies for new-to-you ones. Mabel has already picked out a few to bring and has her mind on some characters she hopes to snag!

If you have a young kiddo, you probably know what Tonies are. If not, a Tonie box is a small device that provides children with screen-free digital listening, learning, and playing experiences. Toy figurines called Tonies are placed magnetically on top of the box and play corresponding songs and stories.

My Official Alliance of Moms MAMA T-shirt

Alliance of Moms is Great Big Family Day’s official non-profit partner.  They support young parents impacted by foster care, and the festival is inviting their community to be part of this year’s #AllMamaAllHeart campaign.

Great Big Family Play Day is encouraging attendees  to share and wear their #AllMamaAllHeart tees during the weekend. The team will be wearing them and they hope to see a great and powerful turnout of the shirts.
