SkyPark at Santa’s Village Kicks off Pumpkins in the Pines

SkyPark at Santa’s Village has kicked off the most wonderful times of the year. The best part? Celebrating both the fall harvest and Halloween, then merrily rolling into the holiday and December magic. The historical park is nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains. Its surroundings offer a unique experience, and it’s crazily just outside of Los Angeles.

Right now, SkyPark is in full swing with the annual Pumpkins in the Pines. Each weekend in October finds the bike and activity park celebrating all things fall with sprinkles of the December magic to come. Our first experience at SkyPark at Santa’s Village was during Pumpkins in the Pines. Mabel was not even one yet, and it was the first of a handful of memories we’ve made so far at SkyPark.

It’s easy to make a day of it at SkyPark. Take in the changing leaves, towering pines, and crisp mountain air while exploring rides, attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping throughout the park.

SkyPark at Santa’s Village

Unlike a traditional pumpkin patch, Pumpkins in the Pines is a full-day mountain experience near Lake Arrowhead, with room to explore, play, eat, and enjoy the season together. Out of all of the holiday-spirited experiences we do each year, Mabel always mentions Santa’s Village. She’s eager each year to return.

It’s possible to visit SkyPark and Pumpkins in the Pines in a day. The nearby lodging options make it inviting to stick around. We’ve had the pleasure of staying on the adjacent camp grounds that are a part of SkyPark. Their Airstreams can be hard to book since they’re popular. But it is worth it if you can grab a night or two. The Camp Christmas Airstream completes a visit to Santa’s Village and truly gets visitors in the merry spirit.

If more of a home space with a personal bathroom and kitchen sounds good, the Perch at Twin Peaks is another ideal choice. Just 20 minutes from SkyPark near Lake Arrowhead, the Perch offers small personal studios on a large and secluded property. Our stay was quaint and felt like home as we cooked dinner and enjoyed a cozy night after a day at SkyPark.

Both of our overnights included very wintry weather and even some snow. We love that atmosphere, but it is VERY chilly. Often the temperatures are still a bit more mild during Pumpkins in the Pines. That can be helpful with babies in tow.
